Anyone got a fun load for plinking with the 380 Auto? I have been shooting 122 grain lead truncated cone bullets at the plate rack. Got to hit them high to knock em over.
It's a fun load and recoils about the same as Hornady Critical Defense, so it's good practice. Mine chronograph at 725 fps. The Lyman Cast bullet manual has loads that are close to this.

The only 380 that I have is an AMT Backup. So I'm not into serious shooting with that caliber. Can't really hit anything with it that's further than 15-20 foot away. Figure that it's small, and better than nothing, so that's why I keep it around. Carry it on a very seldom basis. Should probably look into something other than the FMJ round nose that is in it now, huh?

I only carry Hornady Critical Defence in mine.
