Just picked up a new 45 ACP this weekend. It's an AT (American Tactical), manufactured in the Philippines. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but tore it down and it appears to be a clone of the 1911. The dealer that I got it off of had just gotten them in and didn't know a lot about them. Mags are interchange and other parts seem to be good to fit. The one that I got was their 1911GI model. Identical to a full size 1911, with the exception of the bbl and shroud being 3/4 inch shorter. They have several models including a full size 1911, one with adjustable sights and a light/lazer rail on the front, and some other variations. $477 with tax. Did I get a good deal? Won't know until I put it through some paces, but it's looking good so far.

Playing with this thing further, I found that military magazines seem to work better than the original that came with it. Had some hollow point hand loads that would not feed with the original, but fed fine with the military. The problem seems to lie with the ramp on the magazines. The military mags have a slightly steeper angle to them. It does have full checkered, real, wood grips and the metal to metal fit seems to be real good.
