I've shot Ames, Boone, and Linn County matches and will be heading up the BHPC IDPA shoots starting this spring, all are good clubs.

If you carry a handgun, you should shoot at least one IDPA match with your every day dress & equipment.

Thanks, I'll look through that article. It would be a good experience to get into something like that. I just wish I were home more often to do it! I live in South Korea much of the year. I'll have to see if I can work something in when I am back for a few weeks in the summer. Sure sounds like fun, even if just to watch once before trying.
