Seems like every forum has the "What's your carry" thread, might as well start one here. Currently, my gun of choice for carry is the HK45 in a Milt Sparks Versa Max II. After being a 1911 fan for a number of years I think I'm pretty much settled on this as a suitable replacement, it's a little but lighter, holds two more rounds, is ball bat reliable and I shoot it pretty darn well to boot. It's a little large for carry so I may one day add an HK45C but as of now I make due and dress around the gun.

Nice setup. Like in my other thread I usually carry a Springfield xd in 40. Although tonight I've got a new ruger lcp in my pocket. I was looking for something a little smaller. Figured with something smaller I'm more apt to carry more often. A 380 in my pocket is better than my 45 at home!

I have pics of another gun identical to it, but I am in South Korea much of the year. When I return in the summer, I will get my first chance to carry legally. I was able to get my permit just before leaving last year, but was unable to purchase anything because the Sheriff had post-dated it (they were kind and able to honor my request to get me my permit before leaving, but still kept to the full wait time). Had to fly back to Korea before the wait-date was over *laugh*. Was kind of disgusted, because I didn't notice that until I was finishing paperwork to purchase a used Ruger LCR from Scheel's. Probably best I didn't anyway. They wanted $400 for it. I purchased my gun over the internet and it is sitting at my FFL now. They agreed to stick it in their safe until summer, when I can come back. Normally, I would have waited to buy, but I happened across the gun online, and they are very difficult to find. It's a Smith & Wesson 1911SC "Rounded Butt" .45 cal. I have a few more pics of an identical gun in the Gallery area of this forum: I also have a black Milt Sparks VM2 (looks just like JD's does, but black) on order, and a belt from them to match. Those should be done by March or so, and shipped to family.

Winter carry= Smith & Wesson M&P 40 with Viridian C5L laser in modified Galco shoulder holster.
Hot weather usually is Keltec P3AT in a pocket holster.
Cool jacket weather= Bereta 85A, belt holster 4 o'clock.
I don't consider a pistol in the glove box as carring. So I don't do it, and don't recomend it.
Practice, practice, practice

i used to carry a taurus tcp. really hated that little pistol so i sold it and upgraded to a kimber ultra carry 2 with a 3 inch barrel and crimson trace grips. might look into a pocket sized 380 for summer carry. i am considering a sig p238.

ddtt... how does the Kimber work, in terms of reliability?
I've always heard the smaller 1911's are more finicky. Have you found this to be the case?

I usually carry a SIG 226. On occasion, will carry a Smith Mod 66 and my pocket weapon is an AMT Backup 380. My actual preference is a 45ACP of some kind and may do that in the foreseeable future. I've never been a real fan on 0mm, however with proper training, it is an effective weapon. The 380 comes up short but is better than not carrying. As they say, the best gun to use in a gun fight is the one that you have with you!

While it's certainly true that I'm not a fan of "0mm" (LOL), I really meant to say 9mm!!

Bigred, do you feel the Glock 27, being a small gun shooting a .40, has a lot of recoil?

I carry the Walther PPK/S .380. I got it for a steal and i couldn't be happier. Strike that, when I buy the PPQ 9mm I'll be happier. When I finally get it I will be carrying both, the PPK/S will reside in my boot and the PPQ in an appendix carry holster. I have a Black Mamba holster from Concealment Solutions and it is very comfortable.

Sig p220 in a comptac mtac. It's a little bit on the big side, planning on a p229 (or a p228 if I can find one) once funds are available
