A word on the ugly ads...

As you may have guessed, I am using a "free" board service for now, and part of the "payment" for that is that we must endure some pretty horrible ads. It took a week or so for the ads to show up, and now they are here in full/nasty force.

I would like to know if you think the ads are just too much of a turn-off to keep you from coming back, or can you largely ignore them?

I also have the option of paying money to make the board ad-free.

Would appreciate your comments!

I would say no. They are a little annoying but they won't keep me from stopping in.

It was nice to not have them, but I can live with them. Are we talking much money to make them go away?

About $7 per month for 50,000 page views. It goes up from there. You can click on the link at the bottom of the main page to see the price list.

It seems like too many adds and jumping through too many hoops to use the forum. Can't click on a topic without haveing to scroll again. I'll check it out in a month or so.

I have Kaspersky Internet Security, and found that its ad-blocker has most of the ad links on this site "blocked." So I end up getting a lot fewer ads than most, I suppose.
